What is a Virtual Assistant?
A virtual assistant -
is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative,
technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients from a home
office.
Virtual Assistant or VA Jobs are becoming very popular nowadays especially to stay-at-home moms and dads who wanted to earn extra money without leaving the comfort of their homes. Imagine earning $100 to $500 monthly without going abroad, who wouldn't want that right? :)
However, VA jobs are not for everyone, a lot of people have tried doing it and failed because of various reasons:
- they do not have the right set of online skills;
- they do not have the willingness to learn the needed skills;
- they do not know where to find VA jobs;
- they do not have the patience to look for VA jobs; or simply...
- they do not know where to start.
Lucky enough, we Filipinos have an online workers support group like OJP or onlinejobsphilippines.com
OJP's advocacy is to help Pinoys get access to real online jobs and income opportunities. It's their way of helping our country solve unemployment and underemployment problems.
And in line with its free quarterly online skills training program for 2012, OJP offered last April 2012, a free Virtual Assistant Online Skills training course. The course has already ended but lessons are posted online and can be found HERE.

Don't know that Filipinos have an online work support group. I'll check it out and probably join since I am work from home dad and accepts freelancing jobs. My wife accepts virtual assistant jobs and we use Ultimate Money Guide as our reference. You may want to check it out too. Thanks for sharing and I hope you keep us posted if there are new free trainings that we can join.
